Chief Executive Officer
In 1980, Horizon Recording Studios opened with Richard Hartline quickly gaining a powerful reputation for his audio engineering and music production with notable projects including DC Talk and Hezekiah Walker.
Horizon Recording Studios expanded to Horizon Sound and Video, as churches, schools, stadiums and corporate venues sought audiovisual system design and installation. Horizon Sound and Video became an established and highly respected audiovisual installation company.
Horizon Sound and Video acquired Horizon Battery – now under new ownership; and Newstrack Executive Information Service – which recorded various narrators reading business articles transferred onto cassette tapes / cd’s and mailed to customers – for a monthly subscription. At the launch of the world wide web, Newstrack Executive Information Service retired.
In 2008, the Horizon Group—consisting of Horizon Recording Studios and Horizon Sound and Video—refocused on the ever-changing audio and video integration market and relaunched into Horizon AVL, LLC.
Today, the Horizon AVL System Integration Group includes Esports Integration, as a division of the company, and Platform1 as a product offering career pathways and esports / broadcast curriculum.
The Horizon AVL team holds certifications in DMC-D, DMC-E, CTS, CTS-I and CTS-D, and Crestron, while continually researching and training in the latest technology.
